Ball gown type dresses are recommended for full figured, pear shaped, and thin women. This style may also be flattering on petite or hour glass figures depending on the shape or design. Full, fluffly skirt will make petite women appear shorter and fuller. For petite women choose a flat fabric such as the silk skirt shown. The smaller the skirt the less shortening effect on petites.
